Vehicle description
Up for sale is a rare and very low mileage (65K) Crossfire SRT6 in excellent condition. As most are unaware, this car is constructed of mostly Mercedes parts, including the hand-assembled AMG supercharged engine.
The exterior is free of dents and damage. The paint is very nice and there are no serious scratches or scuffs. I spent several hours this past weekend clay-baring, polishing, and waxing the paint. The paint is slick and smooth to the touch.
As for the interior, its nice and damage free. There"s minor wear, but there is no major or considerable wear on any interior surfaces. All of the interior electronics work, even the heated seats.
The engine is just getting broken in. I have friends with over 200k miles on their SRT6"s, and they are still running very strong. This car at only 65k miles is just starting life. I recently had the oil tested by Blackstone Labs and everything checked out great. There is no excessive wear or trace of water, coolant, etc. The transmission fluid is clean and light in color. I recently replaced the oil and filter, an the tires have less than 5K miles on them since new. Also, the stereo ( Pioneer DEH-X7800BHS ) is new, purchased and installed this month.
Its very common for owners to modify these cars to keep up with and surpass the new Camaro"s and Mustangs on the market. This
car is no different, and the previous owner spared no expense in upgrading the performance. I recently tested the 0-60 MPH and got 4.1 seconds using a very accurate PBox.
I estimate the car makes around 420HP at the crank, which is plenty considering the car is so light. The higher power level doesn"t negatively affect the driveability or responsiveness of the car, and actually makes it much more fun and enjoyable to drive.
The total cost of the performance mods installed on the car is around $3,200. I"d like to stress, neither the previous owner or I race the car. The work was done just to make the car more fun for the daily commute.
