Vehicle description
The Good:
One owner 2005 E46 M3.
This vehicle has been well cared for. Recent rod bearings (OEM) and new OEM oil pump. Recent Biesan Vanos seals with heavy duty retainer springs and hardened exhaust hub (Turbo toy). Upper timing chain guides were replaced. Valves adjusted and new spark plugs and valve cover gasket installed . New CPV (constant pressure valve) with upgraged O-ring. Recent water pump, belts and pulley tensioners minus the a/c tensioner. New front lower control arms (non-oem) New inner and outer tie rods (OEM) and alignment. New interior column panels (they tend to start sagging common issue). Rear auto dim view mirror rebuilt (common issue starts leaking). Cross drilled and vented brake rotors, front calipers were replaced. All 4 Oxygen sensor were replaced at around 150K so they should be good for another 100K. Engine does not leak or burn any oil. It"s all stock, no performance upgrades were ever done. Only minor cosmetic changes have been done, black chrome kidney grills, smoke out bumper reflectors, black side fender grills, black chrome wheels with all seasons.
Passed safety inspection 8/2019.
Middle seat head rest and 3 point belt was added (OEM).
I also have the original rims with summer tires (they were not used much); I believe one of them is scratched for the car wash. All the rims currently on the car have scuffs.
Has emergency kit and some other BMW accessories.
Car is fully loaded apart from headlight washers.
The Bad: Car was in a minor accident at around 100K. I was stopped at a traffic light and was rear ended pushing me into the car in front. Front end damage was to bolt on parts only (bumper and support, hood, headlights, and radiator support). Luckily, I had the original bumper so that was put back on along with new hood, headlights and support. Rear damage bent the center support bar (part with latch). Rear trim panel was replaced and painted by BMW repair shop. I made sure all the parts were replaced using OEM parts only. (had to deal with drama of the other persons insurance company)
Windshield was replaced (non accident related from a rock chip which expanded) with OEM but unfortunately Safelite technician didn’t install the driver side wiper correctly and during the first usage the driver wiper metal insert scratched the windshield, so it’s a new windshield with a scratch ( I might try to polish it if I get some free time)
Navigation screen has few pixels which are not working.
Lower lumbar on driver seat doesn"t seem to be inflating ( I will try to fix this if I get time)
Other:
The car report shows an 1 open recall ( Open Recall(s) Reported (1) ) but I just had the driver side air bag recall performed (done on 8/27/2019) along with 4 wheel alignment.
You also have the option to have a qualified person inspect before purchasing (I will do my best to accomodate such inspection).
Don’t insult me by making low ball offers, I am not in any hurry to sell and most likely I will block you from placing any further bids.
I have at least 3K in recent parts alone; oil pump, bearings and VANOS upgrade, water pump, front control arms and tie rods. If I had the work done at the dealership it would have definitely exceeded my starting price.
I have personally maintained this car and any repairs that needed special equipment or warranty work were done by the BMW dealership.
Don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or if you need any more photos or information about this vehicle.
Terms of sale: If you are the winning bidder, you must deposit a refundable deposit of $250 within 24 hours (or communicate your intent otherwise) or I will initiate a cancellation process through and relist. Once you do that, I will initiate a refund on your deposit. I don’t want you to buy it if you don’t like it! If you don"t purchase the vehicle and don"t intiate cancellation process I will reimburse you the original deposit minus any fees I would have to pay for relisting and seller fees.
