Vehicle description
This was my wife"s daily driver since 2008, I purchase it on Ebay as a rebuilt title from a licensed dealer in CA. It has not been in any other accidents since we"ve owned it and will come with a Restored/Salvage Arizona title.
The good. Car runs good, battery, tires and glass all in good shape. Transmission has never had a problem and shifts great. Driver side airbag and airbag igniter and passenger side airbag igniter were replaced by Acura under the recall and they verified the entire airbag system functions correctly. Everything on the car, works like it is supposed to, even the A/C in the back. Oil was changed every 5000 miles with Mobil One full synthetic. The car has a built in DVD system with a monitor for rear seat passengers. It has a 3rd row and seats 7. We purchased a 2015 Acura RDX to replace this car, so we believe in the brand, didn"t get the MDX due to MPG and no need for 7 seats.
The bad. This car was in an accident in 2007 and repaired by the licensed dealer in CA. That dealer rolled back the mileage and fudged the mileage on the vehicle report shown on Ebay. The milage listed on the bill of sale and showing on the odometer was 32382. After receiving the car AZ advised the title would show mileage as box C due to a mileage discrepancy. I pulled a carfax and the mileage showing at an emissions test before the sale was 67600. (The car has approximately 35000 more miles than it shows on odometer ACTUAL MILEAGE IS APPROXIMATELY 167,000) The dealer said it was an error and refunded a very large portion of the purchase price to avoid litigation. We decided to keep it, figuring we would sell it in a few years but the car gave us no problems, so the few years grew. The PCM was changed after the accident and the vin on the car"s computer is not correct. Arizona now checks for this and it has to be corrected prior to the next registration. Acura quoted me $276 to reprogram the PCM. If your state checks for this it will need to be done. * *The car is leaking coolant, I believe it is from the water pump that"s the area where the leak is from but my wife said she wanted a new car so I did not have it checked by a mechanic. The leak was very small when it started,(about a month ago) it needs to be addressed immediately. My wife drives around 100 miles, every Saturday and on Sunday it needed about a half gallon to refill radiator. photo is after a 20 minute drive. I think we paid about $600-700 for waterpump and timing belt replacement about 5 years ago. (The car has a low whine now that I believe is the water pump)* * . The suspension is original and you will notice that when going up the bump to your driveway, normal driving it is acceptable. My 6 year old rode in the backseat for the last 6 years and is messy, the wife is messy too. The car needs a good cleaning. The leather shows cracks but I didn"t see any tears. There is a crack in the plastic cover under the steering wheel, visible in photo with Nav, it"s from the original accident and is not as visible as picture shows. Front cigarette lighter does not work(never tried to fix), there is one in the center console and one in the rear that do function for power. Car gets around 17 mpg but wife has a heavy foot. Paints good, hood has several stone chips near the front. I"ll work with your shipper, I work from home so I"m usually there.
