Yes this is the very rare w12 version of the much sought after Volkswagon Phaeton from 2004. I spent years to find one listed in my area and I found a beautiful gem. From the history I was able to get from Volkswagon the car was serviced regularly in Brandon Fl. The body is almost perfect shape with no rust, major dents, dings or scratches. Paint is in amazing shape. See photos and understand car has not been polished or waxed, only kept under car cover for past 8 months. The interior is also in stunning shape with only minor wear on passenger seat as shown in photos. With a little work this can be restored to a perfect in and out vehicle and be show ready. If restored this car could be worth well over $20k and will increase since it is so rare. Rims on this car seem to be custom from Volkswagon and really set this Phaeton apart from others I have ever seen. Brakes stop great, vehicle drives very straight and is very smooth. The little bit I have driven around the neighborhood has been super smooth and no weird sounds or suspension issues. I purchased vehicle in non running order with hopes to get it back on the road. From here I had the vehicle sent to Volkswagon of Brandon and they changed both batteries, programmed vehicle and had a locksmith re program key to function with car. After having this done I flushed the transmission and changed oil. When I purchased car, most vacuum lines were getting brittle so I changed out all the ones I could find and this seemed to fix most of the ruff idle. The issue it is having right now is overheating after about 30min of running. This is not an issue Volkswagen was able to find when they serviced. Basically the car will begin to steam from center of motor. May be thermostat or pump. My regular shop could not find any leaks when they looked. I am sad to have to list this vehicle as it is my dream car and planned to restore and bring to shows. I am only selling because I do not currently have a place to store or the money to have it fixed at a proper shop. - All electronics including power seats, massage seats, heated and ventilated, rear shade, telescopic wheel and all other crazy options function. Ac blows very cold and heat works very well. - power trunk is not functioning but may just need a reset.
- Has 162k miles, which means this car has been very well taken care of. - Before changing transmission fluid transmission did shift hard sometimes. Recently seems to be much better but will need service. - I recently let car sit too long and battery may have went too low causing the alarm and other features to act up before starting car. Happened once before and I had Volkswagen swap out batter under warranty and this fixed this issue. - There are some dash lights on including check engine light and more recently the car says to low to drive even though it properly raises up. I believe this is caused by battery getting too low.
