Vehicle description
This is a 2004 VW Jetta TDI. 294,000 miles, and has been driven daily by me the last 3 years. It is all original. I just got a Touareg, so no longer need this car. It runs and drives great, and gets 42 mpg average in winter and 44 mpg average in warm weather. It has several little things that could be done to it: A/C works, but I think there is a slight leak, as it is not as cold as it once was. Has rust in usual spots, right front fender, doors at trim line, etc. left rear door electrics disconnected, so power door lock and window there not working (previous owner disconnected it, said an easy fix but wasn"t an issue for me). engine light is on; mechanic says its a sensor. About $100 to fix he says, but no big deal. ABS light is on and ABS not working; this is actually a good thing in my opinion, as the ABS on these older VW"s were dangerous, and wouldn"t let you stop or accelerate Brakes and tires are good, but left front rotor wobbles somewhat when braking lightly. Not a problem when braking harder, however. These diesels go forever. While no longer the prettiest, this car should make a great driver for many more miles.
