There are several reasons that this fault could occur but the most common reason is blocked oil flow into the variable cam sprocket. When this happens, the camshafts must be removed and repaired/replaced in order for the fault code to clear. There is no drivablity issues and car great. This is a common issue on the 996 Turbos engines. Luckily, no damage occurs during this failure. The repair can be performed quickly and the vehicle can be back on the road in a short period of time. This Turbo has also been modified with a GT2 style front bumper, carbon fiber rear wing, and aftermarket wheels as well as an upgraded exhaust and charge pipe. Exterior This 996 is finished in nonmetallic Black and features a GT2-style front bumper, carbon fiber rear wing, flared rocker panels, and a painted carbon fiber hood. Some road-going chips are noted on the front valence and detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. This Turbo rides on aftermarket 19” MCK Engineering wheels currently dressed in Pirelli P-Zero tires. Interior Inside, this 996 has been appointed with a black full leather interior featuring custom leather seats with Alcantara centers, deviated stitching, and Turbo headrest embroideries. Factory Exclusive options include stainless steel door entry guards with model logos, aluminum-look air vent slats and instrument dials, and a shifter and handbrake lever in leather/aluminum.
