Vehicle description
Just bought a 997.2 so its time to part with my beloved 996 C2.
The car is immaculate and has been very well maintained and preserved. I am the second owner, the first owner is a collector in Houston, TX. And have put around 3K miles on it over the last year and half. I though I"d never part with it but I stumbled on a rare opportunity to get a 997.2 for a great price.
Since I purchased the car, I had the IMS bearing done, it has been fully service - all fluids, filters, etc. every 6 months and most recently on 7/20/19. I also put Suntek film to protect the front 3rd and cleaned the car regularly with AMMO products.
The car has zero needs and a clean Carfax. It pulls hard and presents like it just rolled out of a showroom. Exterior is excellent and interior shows very little wear - small scape on the console by the ashtray. I replaced the sticky radio knobs with the new Porsche knobs. Carpets and seats are immaculate. Engine bay and undercarriage are pristine. I have all the service records since new, and all the books, sales lit, manuals, and window sticker.
About the late model 996"s
There are a few differences between the early and late model 996"s. Most notably is that the engine was upgraded to a 3.6L 320 bhp engine. There are also some minor cosmetic differences with the front air dam, headlights are clear, and rear fenders are rolled to accommodate the larger rear tires. These are really the last of the analog 911s and the best year for the 996. All reliability issues have been addressed and this car is a blast to drive and great value for money.
