Vehicle description
This is a great daily driver which has been well taken care of since the day it left the dealership. It was owned by my father & mother-in-law, purchased by them new. They used it to pull behind their motorhome (Vehicle is still wired and equipped to do so) when they went on trips. In 2015, my father-in-law passed away after a short illness. The RV was sold and this was in the garage for about 6 months when my wife and I purchased it from her mother. I have a 50-mile daily commute, and this has been used for travel to work and family errands. It is in nearly excellent condition, starts, drive, and runs great. My Father-in-law was a mechanic and this vehicle has had Synthetic 5W20 every 5,000 miles or less since new. I have continued his service habits. In addition, since I have owned it the CRV has received Front Brakes with new rotors, rear brakes, plugs, regular transmission flushes yearly, coolant flushes every 2 years, air and cabin filter, and this past winter, a new battery. When I purchased the vehicle, the factory radio had issues with the CD player so I swapped it out for a Pioneer Tuner which plays from an iPod/iPhone, USB stick, or another device.
The CRV has the Honda "Real-Time 4WD system" which activates the 4WD whenever the front wheels start slipping. I have never had this car stuck and I have traveled through snow and mud where I stuck my 2WD Silverado 2500! Tires have lots of life left. Since I have owned the CRV, the front seats wear seat covers. They are not in the photos, but it does explain why the seats are in such great shape. The CRV has a Tow Hitch and wiring for towing a small trailer. It is equipped with running boards, sunroof, wide tires and alloy wheels. There is even a small picnic table stowed in the spare tire compartment which apparently came with the CR-V when new. I will throw in the Weather-Tech floor mats and the factory rear compartment protector as well. I have listed this vehicle with 110,00 miles. It is actually 108,875 as of the listing but I am continuing to drive this vehicle to and from work. Once purchased, whether at the end of the auction, or Buy It Now, I will stop driving the CR-V.
I am selling this vehicle due to a family situation in which my son has been sent to Boston for an extended period. He wants to sell his current vehicle to purchase a pickup when his temporary transfer ends. My wife and I are purchasing his vehicle to help out. If it were not for this very recent situation, I would continue to drive this car for years!
