At every fill up I use Stanadyna fuel additive to keep the internal fuel components clean. I have use only Wengst air filters. It has all new shocks, a new turbo, all new brakes, 4 new BF Goodrich KO2 tires ($1,500 value), new head lights, all new under hood sensors, 4 new wheel sensors, a new blue tooth stereo and 4 new speakers, new upper turbo hose, new tie rod ends, rubberized under body, and a new windshield.
I have made all of the shiplap aromatic cedar paneling, as well as the tongue and groove hardwood flooring. All of the wood material in the van is from trees that were salvaged and milled from back yards. A true green machine. I haven"t tried it, but the T1N motor that is in these Sprinters can run on bio diesel. I haven"t tried it because you have to change your fuel filter more often.
It is incredibly well insulated with Reflectix (2 layers in some cases), formaldyhyde free fiber glass insulation, and styrofoam insulation. In the winter it warms up quick and stays warm and in the summer is cools off quick and stays cool. The A/C blows ice cold. I really love this van and want it going into good hands. Right now it is parked with a "for sale" sign in it at Pro Re Nata in Crozet. Please call, text, or email. I prefer you call. It"s a lot quicker to get things done that way.
