Vehicle description
This truck as only 1200 actual miles on it. The title is clear and in hand.
The story with this truck was that it was stolen when new off a dealer lot near Los Angeles California. The thief took it and stored it into an enclosed storage facility and paid the monthly costs to store it for 13 years. It was discovered by police, looking for another stolen vehicle.
The original insurance company was contacted and after all the paperwork was cleared up it went up for sale. When I bought the truck (in California) I had it shipped here. At that time it had only 306 miles on it. I have since put 900 or so miles on it. I am selling for two reasons: (1) the primary reason is that I have an electric car that goes 250+ miles and I find that I do not need a gasoline powered vehicle (I have not been to a gas station in 4-5 months); and (2) its too much truck for me, its too big for me to feel comfortable with in traffic here in San Antonio.
Lastly, a few notes about condition. The paint and exterior are excellent, the interior smells and looks new. It clearly was stored in somewhere with better temperatures and with lower humidity. Underneath, many of the things still have the paper stickers (e.g., the muffler). I will note that the only flaw I see is during the transporting process there are few dings (look like hail damage) on the bottom rocker panel of the driver door. Not on the door, but beneath the door on the rocker. These, in my option are not very noticeable because they are low. My though is that a strap was banging against the lower bottom during transport. The fluids have been changed and are all clean, the brakes are like new. . tires like new and appear to be in great condition.
Things that I have added, include: Trailer Brake Controller, A Hitch, Tow Mirrors, and I have Clearance Lights for the top of the cab new in the box from dodge.
So, if you need a work truck and don"t like a 35k plus price tag, but want essentially a new looking and driving truck, this is certainly an option.
IMPORTANT: Ask all questions prior to bidding, I will not answer any questions after successful bid, only to help coordinate transport. Serious bidders are encouraged to inspect the vehicle prior to purchase, or have a service inspect it. Being sold as is, I am unaware of any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
