Vehicle description
If you know about Crossfires, you"ll understand the work put into it the last month.
I"ve owned this car for a month, and love it, but I"m a little too tall for the car. It"s a blast to drive. The Mercedes engine and trans work flawlessly, quick and nimble, hugging the corners. Sadly, I just don"t fit, and am going to a convertible.
Up for sale is a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire with just shy of 94,500 miles. It is a 2-dr, 2-seat, small trunk, fun little car. It draws attention, and people will always ask what it is, or reminisce about when they came out.
New items the last 30 days: New battery - $155 Replaced Idler pulley ($35) and Belt Tension pulley ($133) and Drive Belt ($35) Spare Crank Position Sensor ($62) - These are known to fail, keeping a spare in the trunk New tires ($855) Replaced Relay Control Module ($140), and sent old to be repaired and kept as spare ($50) Replaced rear glass on hatch ($235) - tint was bad and defrost lines were damaged Replaced spark plugs ($90) Oil change and fleece oil filter ($100) New Cabin air filter New Steering Stabilizer ($35) Replaced cup holder with 3D printed storage bin. I"m sure there are more things, but those are what I had tracked during the first 3 weeks of ownership.
My plan was to keep this car for quite some time, as you should be able to tell from the list above, but I do not wish to continue driving with my head cocked over towards the middle of the car. I"m 6"2", my head rubs the headliner and my shin drags the lower dash when shifting, at 42yrs old, I"ll find another coupe that fits my frame better.
Local pickup only. I am an hour South of Dallas on I-45. Shipping can be arranged by buyer, and at buyer"s expense. Cash preferred, Car will not leave my garage until Cashier"s Check has been verified by bank and cleared my account. No personal checks.
I am advertising this car locally as well. More photos will be added 10/04/2019
