A rare opportunity to own a piece of British transport history. Probably the lowest miles/best condition TX taxi in the USA.
This vehicle is part of the British Taxi fleet on the east coast. It has been involved in several weddings. It was also sent to Atlanta for the film Captain America 3, so it"s a bit of a celebrity. We are sad to see it go, it"s been a wonderful vehicle to own but our focus is with the older vehicles. This iconic cab, one of 250, is ready for a loving home. It has been stored inside almost the entire time we"ve owned it. The body is in excellent condition, no signs of rust.
It"s a great money maker for weddings but it"s also a car you can use for your day to day activities.
A reliable Ford engine (2.4 ltr diesel) capable of over 500,000 miles, this vehicle was custom designed for the USA. It includes steering on the left side of the taxi. It was also built to Federal and California smog emission standards.
Heater block added in 2015 Diesel leak repaired in 2015 Computer replaced in 2015 New radiator in 2015 New taxi top in 2016 Replaced expansion tank in 2016 Replaced brake lines and emergency brake cable in 2018 Regular tune ups and oil changes. Starts first time, runs like a top
We"ve included a photo of the plastic section between the hood and the windscreen, a piece cracked off when we opened the hood. It"s not a terrible eyesore but it may be something you want to replace. We also have a bit of tint peeling off the passenger side window. We will provide you with a good source for parts and knowledge in the USA.
