Vehicle description
Up for sale is my very nice 2003 S500 Benz. It has the rare original Tectite Grey paint from the factory, and beautiful black leather interior. Comes with all the bells and whistles that the S Class is known for. Has the 305hp 5.0L V8, Bose stereo system, HID projector headlamps, sun/moon roof, power everything, and the chrome / / /AMG wheels from the factory. Comes with all original owners manuals and paperwork from the Mercedes Dealer.
Car runs great, smooth idle, lots of power, drives, handles, and stops perfectly. Comfortable on the highway, starts right up every time, very reliable daily driver. No fluid leaks at all, no overheating, etc. This Benz has never been in an accident. Well maintained over the years, and has a newer Battery.
Only “problems” include:
• Door locks not working. This problem just recently started. The locks will not lock or unlock with the key fob, or the door lock buttons inside. Was told it may be vacuum related. Also the trunk is currently locked and I can’t open the trunk lid for some reason.
• Has various maintenance messages in the message center screen on the dash, including Airmatic. However the airmatic suspension rises as it should every time the car starts and the suspension doesn’t sag. The front airmatic struts were replaced last year. Front and rear struts rise and the car rides great.
• Could use new rear tires in the near future. All of the tires hold air perfectly. Front tires are newer than the rears, rear tire tread starting to get low.
