Vehicle description
2003 Land Rover Discovery HSE7 New crate built engine with approximately 5,000 miles on it. 109,000 lifetime miles. Disco purchased as a full build offering with extensive mechanical updating. On the outside, added steel recovery bumpers in the front and rear, added D rings all painted them to match the Zambezi silver factory paint matched wheel arches as well. We love these subtle details. Furthering the exterior changes, the front grill and the wheels have been refinished in another Range Rover factory color. The Goodyear Dura track tires are recent and are in a 31.5” format. Paired with a 2” block lift and a new set of Old Man Emu Light Duty shocks with a steering stabilizer. Inside this HSE7 features all the best options. Alpine stereo and back-up camera and Bluetooth for hands-free talking. Rear air conditioning and third row seats for seating up to 7.
Under the hood, we go all the way. Starting with a freshly machined “top hat” style block, we proceed with improved bearings, new rotating assembly and an upgraded Camshaft. Newly machined heads, this motor got a new timing cover, timing chain, lifters, water pump, coil, crank position sensor, cam sensors, all new hoses from the firewall forward as well as a new Rover timing cover and oil pump. We also implement three parts that we fabricate out of aluminum that are otherwise only available in plastic. These items give further protection to the engine as the plastic bits are known to fail and allow the engine to overheat. New motor mounts and a fully assembled. The result is a more powerful and more fuel-efficient engine and better than factory in many ways.
