It"s time to let her go. . You are looking at what most believe is a unicorn. The absolute rarest C5 Corvette ZO6 ever produced. These were Dealer ordered only and the only way to get a Gold Corvette in 2003 as it was part of the unique package. Pictures do not do this car justice as it is jaw dropping in person. I"m the second owner of this car and purchased it through consignment of an estate sale. As a former collector I knew what the car is, only didn"t know only three were produced at the time. Due to September 11, 2001, the economy crashed so the planned build of 50 cars was not reached. I have all documentation that proves it. Most that see this car think it is custom, it is not. It is a dealer ordered special signature edition commemorating Dick Guldstrand aka Mr. Corvette inducted in the Hall of Fame for his Corvette Racing, Build Contributions, and Design Consulting to just about all generations of Corvette until the C6 and his passing in 2015. It is certainly a piece of racing history and should be in the home of a collector. Just about every Guldstrand car is in a museum or hidden in a private collection. Everything is absolutely original on the car per the build package. These were twice the cost of a standard ZO6 and for good reason. It has the C5R 427ci engine built for the package by Katech Racing. Look them up. The C5R was the winning Le Mans endurance race cars and the test bed to what became the 427 LS7 found in the C6 Corvette ZO6 several years later. Gold anodized three piece forged Fikse wheels, also part of the package. Look them up. It has many other unique characteristics and components that set it apart from the standard ZO6 beyond the obvious additional horse power and torque. You will easily see why it was double the cost of a ZO6 with little research. Want to know more, feel free to ask. There is simply a ton to list. .
