General info: In its final production year in 2003, only 138 Z8"s were brought into the USA as compared to previous years where an average of 600 Z8"s were brought into the USA. In contrast, in 2003, 450 of the BMW Z8 Alpinas were brought into the USA which is 300+ more units than the regular Z8. This makes Z8"s made in 2003 the RAREST Z8"s produced.
The black exterior and red/black interior is also one of the rarer and more sought after colors as this car is only 1 of 342 cars (5703 Z8"s made in total) produced in this color combination.
The limited production Z8 was inspired by the legendary 507 built between 1956 and 1959. The Z8 boasts a mig-welded aluminum spaceframe with a body design sculpted by the legendary Henrik Fisker. The exquisitely finished interior was designed by Scott Lempert who even crafted a five spoke “Banjo Wheel” to stay true to the concept. Neon lighting was produced to give the Z8 both a unique look and the benefits of better lighting performance. The Z8 was hand finished in Munich which allowed superb assembly quality.Powered by a 4.9L V8 producing 394 horsepower the car has a Cobra’s swagger with BMW sophistication. Weighing only 3,500 pounds the Z8 is a capable performer on the track combined with the attributes of a true GT car
