Vehicle description
After many loving years with our BMW X5, we"ve decided to upgrade. Xtina, as we call her, has served us well and it"s no doubt she"d make a great addition to your family. She"s survived numerous beach days, moving daughters into new apartments on many occasions (and all by her self! Xtina fit a small couch and table in one trip!), traversing snow storms in Lake Tahoe, easily navigating around slow Santa Barbara drivers when it rains, and epic California road trips while singing Adele at the top of our lungs.

THE GOOD
-Beige Leather that"s held up for the past 15 years
-Cold Weather Package that includes heated front seats and headlight washers
-Premium Package that includes a power glass moonroof, power passenger seats, adjustable rear seat back, rain sensing windshield washers, and an onboard computer
-Rear Climate Package that includes rear door sunblinds and rear climate controls
-CD changer and hidden tape deck (yes it still exists and works way better than the radio trasmitter apps!)
-All wheel drive
-Hill descent control
-Rear window wiper/washer
-height adjusting front seats
-build in anti-theft system
-Roof rails
THE BAD
We recently put in over $3,000 for maintenance this past year to keep this beautiful beast in tip-top shape. All the work has been done by the BMW specialist Kurt at Granny"s Garage in Santa Barbara. He"s willing to vouch for the vehicle"s safety and dependability. Kurt stated as long as the oil and coolant levels are checked regularly, the vehicle has at least another 5+ years in it without a problem.
I keep a quart of oil and some coolant in the trunk just in case, but have never had issues when driving. Just keep on top of checking the levels.
On rare occasions, the oil sensor light will come on. I most often notice this in heavy stop and go freeway traffic. The light will flicker off and on. Everything has been checked and everything is ok in this department, but a faulty sensor replacement will cost more than its worth and the mechanic gave it a thumbs up.
There is a leak within the cooling system, but as stated above, as long as the coolant levels are ok the vehicle will be just fine. I"ve recently driven it to Orange County and San Jose without issues.
All receipts have been saved and the fine people at Granny"s Garage are available for questions.
