I rescued this car from an older lady who drove it gently but never changed the transmission fluid. She burnt up a couple of the clutches. But the car was too nice to junk, so I rescued it, rebuilt the transmission and got it back on the road. It now runs and drives like a dream.
All of the electronics work, the A/C blows very cold and the interior is in excellent condition except for the small wear spot in the driver"s seat, as seen in the photo. The paint is in excellent condition, although their are some fine scratches on the hood and trunk where it looks like they stored some boxes, or something. They don"t show up in the pix they are so fine. There are a few parking lot dings but nothing serious. Grandma ran into something and cracked the grille and bumper, so I replaced the bumper and repainted it.
Grandma also apparently used a ton of hand lotion, or something, and the steering wheel was caked black with it. I cleaned it up good, but there is wear on the steering wheel. It"s no big deal, but I"m a perfectionist and I think even minor flaws should be disclosed so there are no disappointments. I suggest going to wheelskins.com and getting a very nice tan steering wheel cover for $60.
It has power heated seats, dual seat memory, a heated driver-side outside mirror, a nice stereo with a 6-CD changer, AND a cassette player if you have any! The moon roof works fine. This is a very comfortable car and I"ve been driving it to work for the last couple of weeks.
The only thing the car needs, besides a new home, is a set of tires. If you use the Buy it Now I"ll have a new set of tires, mounted and balanced, installed. Or, if you like, add $400 to the final sales price and I"ll do the same. The reserve is low, lower than the Blue Book price.
I performed the following work to get the car back into excellent running condition. All of this was done about 200 miles ago.
Rebuilt Transmission New alternator New battery New starter New front bumper New fog light lenses New front brake pads and freshly turned rotors New A/C service - new Schrader valves, refrigerant recovery and recharge Car was just smogged and the CA registration is good until June, 2018
