2002 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS Open Light Rally Car Hello, my name is David, and I am reluctantly putting my Rally America 02 2.5RS Open light rally car up for sale as I am moving on to other interests/types of racing. The car was originally a 2002 WRX postal delivery car and was purchased by a gentleman that had it built to Rally America production GT specs in 2006. This work was done by Barret Dash and Judson Weld of All Wheels Driven Performance in Bend Oregon , a very well known rally fabrication business in the pacific northwest. The car was subsequently sold to a new owner and sat around for a few years. I purchased the car in approximately 2010. The shell is a 02 WRX but, I have swapped the engine, wiring harness, sub frames, transmission, diffs, etc to 03 2.5RS bits to make it legal for open light competition. I have never run a stage rally with it but have run several SCCA rallyx events and a few SCCA rally sprints. The car is very quick, and very reliable. Perfect for someone looking to get started in rally. (Title in hand). Shell: 02 Wrx Shell, clean never wrecked. Rally America log booked roll cage with extra bracing beyond what was required in 2006. Roll cage connects to front strut towers. Reinforced front strut towers. Fully seam welded front strut towers and inner fenders. Chassis/Suspension: 03 Impreza 2.5RS complete sub frames, control arms, etc, front and rear, no mis-matched pieces allows any replacement to be easily sourced. All Wheels Driven custom built coilover suspension with Bilstein 40MM dampers with custom valving by All wheels driven. Dirtbagz coil over covers. Swift springs with swift helper/tender springs to allow more ride height and preload adjustment. Engine: 03 Impreza 2.5RS EJ251 SOHC engine. Delta Cams Stage 2 Cams. Gates racing timing belt, water pump, and all tensioners replaced. (less than 1000 miles) Borla unequal length header wrapped with header wrap. Custom 2.5 inch exhaust system with 3 way high-flow catalytic converter. Also have modified stock exhaust included with car. Only use redline high performance oil. Trans/Diff: 03 2.5RS 4.11FD transmission with updated Subaru wide gear set. 03 2.5RS 4.11FD rear diff with viscous LSD ACT Pro light flywheel (11 pounds)(less than 50 miles) Act SB2-HDG6 Heavy duty pressure plate and 6 puck sprung friction disc.(less than 50 miles) Cobb Tuning short throw shifter. Only use redline high performance gear oil. Wheels/Tires/Brakes 4x Enkei RC-G4 gravel wheels 5x100 7 inch wide(gold) 4x Dmack DMG2 hard compound gravel tires.(185/70/15)(60% tread left) 2x Enkei RC-G4 gravel wheels 5x100 7 inch wide(white)(spares) 6x Black Rocket medium compound gravel tires.(175/70/15)(brand new! !)
