Check original window sticker (pictured) A note on value: In 2002 this car sold for $57,280. In2021 dollars that translates to $85,030. This car is worth every dollar that itcost and more. Make no mistake: this car turns heads and is a joy to drive. Notonly that, but it is very comfortable for those long Sunday drives or roadtrips. I’ve had many hours of relaxing but thrilling drives and now it’s yourturn. It’s priced to sell quickly. This beauty has never failed to perform and has neverleaked a single drop of any kind of fluid. The engine is hand-built and it hasnever been driven in snow or salt and has seen rain only two or three times. Thefinish has been protected by a high-end ceramic coating which is simple to apply, inexpensive, and rated as the best paint protection by numerous carenthusiasts. In short, the car looks great. There are several extremely minorblemishes that are invisible 5 feet away, but that’s it. No dents, no dings, noparking lot chips. The interior shows very slight wear on the driver’s seat, but zero tears, rips or worn spots. The wood grain looks great. The soundsystem is superb. The 6-CD changer works perfectly for you old-school types andthe heat and ice-cold air-conditioning systems work better and respond more quicklythan in any car I’ve ever owned. The exterior is in like-new car condition and theinterior appears to be what you’d find on a 1-year-old well-maintained car. According to Edmunds (and basically every review of thiscar is superb): “ In 2002 the SLK family grows again,as the speedy SLK32 AMG joins the clan. Packing a whopping 349 horsepower, theAMG SLK can run with exotics in terms of gut-wrenching acceleration, as asub-five second 0-to-60 mph blast attests. The all-new for ’02 AMG modelserves up serious doses of fun for those who crave more than just a little windin their hair. The SLK"s big selling point is its exclusive retractable steelroof that, when raised, makes the car seem as airtight as a Benz sedan. In lessthan 30 seconds, you can convert the SLK from a closed coupe to a coolconvertible without leaving the driver"s seat. All in all, the SLK is a desirabledrop-top for anyone looking for the fun of a convertible combined with thesafety and all-weather security of a hardtop. The addition of the ultra-fastAMG model might give pause to those previously considering Porsche"s Boxster S .” Motor Trend says: “ The minute you fire up the hand-built, supercharged, 3.2L V-6engine that powers the SLK32 AMG roadster, you know something"s going on. Thedeep-chested exhaust rumble tells you these are no ordinary rides. Shift intoDrive, mat the accelerator, and smile big, as 349 hp and 332 lb-ft of torqueshove you back in the seat. It"s at this moment you realize how deceiving lookscan be, since there"s little to distinguish these cars from their stockcounterparts. This aggressively subtle approach is what makes every AMG productso appealing. In short, AMG spells FUN. The Carfax report, as expected, reveals no problems of any kind. New Michelins and brake pads wereinstalled at 58,335 miles, so they have slightly under 5,000 miles on them. A recent M-B safety inspection turned up zero issues. Sadly, a minor stroke has left myright leg unable to drive for the foreseeable future, so I have to part wayswith this beauty. But the next owner will be astonished at how much pure joy itis to tool around town or get out on a country road, hear that mighty rumble, feel the smooth, effortless acceleration, and know that you’re driving one of the most iconic cars ever built.
