Vehicle description

This is a very nice 2002 Maserati Spyder Convertible. This model Maserati used Ferrari a drive line, the motor and transmission are out of the Ferrari 360. This is a very fun car to drive in automatic or in manual mode using the F1 paddle shifters. This probably one of the cleanest ones you will find. It is a great color combo; it really pops with the Grigio Touring Metallic Silver paint and Bordeaux Red interior and top. The interior is in nice shape and even has the special racing pedals. In June I ordered a new factory top from Maserati; and it was very hard to find. The top was the last one they had, and it was located in Italy. The part number on the top is 66104607, it was $2895 from the dealer. I did not want to go with an aftermarket top because installer said it would be close but didn’t have the same stitching. He said I would also have to use parts off the original top. I did not want to have a pieced together top. A factory top is the only way to go; it came complete with all the cables and hold downs, and also the rear window. The car is overall very nice; the paint is in good shape with no rust on it anywhere. I have had it in storage in my car collection. The battery went dead and I replaced it before taking pictures. The radio needs to be reprogrammed with the code, I have the book/manual and code but it is in Italian so I haven’t figured it out yet. Window sticker on the car was $105k when it was sold new. The value on the Spyders has and will continue to go up with collectors because it has the same motor and transmission as the Ferrari. More and more people are starting to learn about them. I have a new front license plate bracket but I have not installed it because I do not like them; who wants to mess up that beautiful front end. It received a fresh oil change this summer and along with new filters This car has a clean car fax; mileage is 62k.
