Up for your consideration is a 2002 Mustang GT, offered in a GT deluxe package. This car was purchased in 2017 near central Ohio. Three weeks after I purchased it, the engine tossed a connecting rod. I would have had no way of knowing about this. This vehicle deserved much better, so I swapped the engine with another 4.6 2V (Pulled from a 2004 GT), with approximately 46,000 miles on it (I have all of the paperwork to support this claim). I have since put only 4,500 miles on the vehicle. At the time of the swap, I also performed a clutch replacement. Since then, I have been diligent about maintaining fluids and maintenance, and have had no mechanical issues to report. I added new tires to this vehicle just over a month ago. They still have >95% tread remaining since the replacement.
Cosmetically, the vehicle is still in great shape. There is a light rust area that can be seen near the right rear wheel well, but I"ve been impressed with the condition, given that there has been no other storage options than outdoors in the winter. I brought this car back from the grave, and have had nothing but fun with it since then. However, it is time for me to move on from this vehicle. This car is an absolute blast. If you"re looking for good V8 power, and don"t need a garage queen, it"s gonna be tough to beat this car. Let me know if you have any questions, or would like to see additional pictures.
