Details
- The cars interior and exterior condition is consistent with that of a 15 year old car that has been taken car of. The front hood was resprayed for rock chips before I got it. There few minor door dings that can be taken out via paintless dent removal. Some thin clear coat on rear quarter panel. Common leather wear on left side bolster of the driver seat.
- Typical of E46 M3 interiors, there is wear on the door and center armrests. Also, the previous owner(s) used Armor-All on the interior which softened the plastic enough to make it show indentations from fingernails. All of these areas are replaceable or easily refurbishable.
- Mechanically the car drives like new. Complete stock suspension refresh, drivetrain bushing replaced, and valve adjustment done one year or 7000 miles ago.
- This car is my daily driver and I drove it about 8,000 miles a year during my ownership. Was not tracked or raced.
- The reason why I purchased this particular car was because the entire transmission and VANOS assembly were replaced under an extended warranty by previous owner. Assembly has approximately 35k miles on it.
I love the car. It has been a joy to own, drive, and wrench on for the 5 years I have owned it. However, between this and my e92 M3, my wife says one has to go. :(
