Hello!
I am selling my nephews 2002 BMW 325i. He just graduated Hofstra and bought a new BMW. He used this car to commute from Queens to Hofstra for 4 years and it never let him down. The car is silver with a black leather interior. The interior needs to be cleaned up which I will do in the next couple of days and I will also add pictures of the trunk shortly. I just need to take out some of my nephews things. It currently has 122,655 miles. The BMW has a 6 cylinder engine that is very dependable and great on gas. My nephew has owned the car for over 4 years. Always changed the oil every 3000 miles and just changed the oil, filter, air filter and cabin filter at 120,400 miles. He always uses BMW fully synthetic oil in the BMW. He replaced the tires approx. 11 months ago with brand new Continental tires. The size of the tires are 225/50R/17"s. Brake pads where also replaced at the same time and alignment was also performed.
Now the not so good. The BMW was hit at a parking lot at the super market. Not major damage but it is ugly. Maaco quoted my nephew $350 to repair the damage. (See photo)
The check engine light is on and so is the ABS light. My nephew was told that the ABS light is on because of a faulty sensor by the front driver"s side wheel. This is a common problem with BMW"s and inexpensive to fix. The check engine light has something to do with the gas tank re-circulation system. Nothing major to worry about and it doesn"t affect the cars performance one bit. My nephews mechanic told him that he might just have to change the gas cap.
This car is very reliable and a great daily driver. Great car for the first time driver also. The ABS light doesn"t affect the braking at all and the check engine light is an easy fix.
