Vehicle description
2001 Toyota 4runner, Gray, 205K mi
Purchased over a year ago with dreams to make it an extreme off road backcountry vehicle.
I found rust and therefore wanted to start the right way with a strong foundation and had body and frame rust treated (I have the receipt, its was several thousand dollars). -I drove it to the body/frame shop 3.5 mi. -I drove it home from the same shop 9.6 mi this past weekend. -I was told this was owned by a Toyota mechanic and everything was up to par and timing belt was changed around 175k (I could not verify this). -No check engine lights -Drives smooth and does not pull to any side -Has Bilstein up front, no idea what"s in the back -Needs new tires and a few dash lights -I suspect will need all fluids changed (I have not done anything since getting it back) -Sold as is I have really no history with this car -Please look at the pics, frame rails have surface rust and dirt, they are not rusted through as typically found in older 4runners, I made sure of this. -You are responsible for shipping or pick up, I can be available if you are using a shipper
That is all I know and the extent of how familiar I am with this car and this is a huge loss for me. Everyone always wants to know why I am selling -perfect storm; injury/medical problems that occurred after buying the car, moved to neighborhood with militant HOA and adding a new family member in a few months.
Good luck.
BTW, I have had trouble with replying through ebay messages and will try to update the posting to reflect answers to questions that may be repeated.
