We have owned this Suzuki Grand Vitara V6 4x4 for about two years. It"s never left us stranded, but it"s now time to let it go as I can no longer keep it. I have five vehicles and insurance is killing me. So a couple need to go. I"ll state the bad up front. It needs new valve oil seals as it"s allowing oil to get past and has started smoking because of it. Only on start up and when you mash the gas to pass does it blow blue smoke though. It has also started leaking oil someone where on the engine. I cannot be certain of where, but it may be the seal between block and head on the drivers side. Truck is still drive-able though, but we try not to drive it now because of these issues. And yes, I have been diligent on keeping an eye on the oil level, never letting it get low. It doesn"t leak even a shot glass worth of oil after having been run, even out on the road. If that eases anyone"s mind.
Four wheel drive works as it should and has done us a great service in Winter"s past, plowing through snow like it was nothing. Even when it was over a foot deep. This I will miss dearly.
Does have current Va. safety inspection and is good until 8/17.
Since purchasing I have replaced or had replaced for me these items listed below. The first two months of ownership (2015) these parts were replaced: All New all belts All New hoses New radiator New fan blade
Last year (2016) these parts were installed: New catalytic converter (about $270 installed) New spark plugs New Duralast Ignition coils. All six replaced (@ $68 a piece) Remanufactured Camshaft Position Sensor ($233.) Both front CV Axles replace with new ones ($500 installed) New Valve cover gaskets, both sides done at same time. ($70 for the gaskets)
As you can see the starting bid is less that what I have spent on it in the last year alone. Get the current issues taken care of and you will have a vehicle that will take you anywhere regardless of weather. And something worth noting is that at one time a previous owner had smoked it it. We are not smokers and have done the best we can to remove the odor from the car. There are also a few cigarette burns in the front seats, but no rips and tears. This is a 16 year old car and as such you should not expect it to be like a new car. I have taken care of the mechanics while I have owned it, taking care of issue that has come up in a timely manner and have not abused it. Please ask any and all questions before bidding. I will answer them to the best of my knowledge.

If you are the winner and do not pay, then a non paying bidder complaint will be filed against you, negative feedback will be left and the car will go back up for sale.
