2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, 4x4,4.7 V8 Engine and Automatic Transmission. This Grand Cherokee is fully loaded withpower everything, leather interior, sun roof, infinity stereo package with 6disc changer, heated seats, etc. Interior is in very good condition; much ofit looks like new. Truck has a clean Carfax with lots of documented servicerecords all the way up to last year. About a year ago a transmission line blewon the truck and overheated the transmission. It sat for about 6 months and Ibought it. The transmission has been rebuilt to include a new Torque Converter,the transmission lines are all new, and a rebuilt NP242 transfer case was putin. The new transfer case gives the Grand Cherokee: 2WD, AWD, 4HI, and 4LOW. TheseGrand Cherokee Limited’s only have AWD from the factory. The 2WD is nice if youlive where there’s not a lot of snow, it saves unnecessary wear and tear on allthe components. The truck has 157k miles but lots ofnew parts. In addition to the transmission and transfer case already mentioned,it has had the following items replaced. 10k miles ago: newwater pump, serpentine belt, tensioner, power steering pump, and power steeringlines 5k miles ago: newbrake pads, rotors, calipers, lines, master cylinder, tires with 17” JK wheels,and 3” Suspension lift with all new components. 1k miles ago: newradiator and hoses The outside of the truck does have some rough spots. Thereis a rocker on the passenger rear that is rusted, I planned on replacing it(they’re $60 on eBay) so I knocked all the rust out so I could cut it out. Havenot gotten around to doing it though. The hood has what appears to be sapspots that someone tried to sand out, but they never buffed them. And the backleft looks like the previous owner might’ve backed into something and thentried to repair it. The back left spot was bare metal when I got a few monthsago and has since accumulated surface rust (it is just surface rust not throughor flaky). I took close pictures of all these spots so you could see them. If you can get past the spots on the outside, you actuallyhave a very nice, very well taken care Grand Cherokee with lots of new parts. Iwas going to turn it into an off-road toy but like most people now-a-days, Icould use the money more. The tires, transmission, and NP242 transfer case aloneare worth the starting price of the Grand Cherokee. I will also add that the truck failed VA state inspectionlast week due to an exhaust leak but it is going into the shop on Monday to getrepaired (its leaks at a connection). It will be repaired before the auctionends.
