Vehicle Details For sale is a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT 4x4 Turbo Diesel Quad Cab, with the extended bed, with a 6" lift on 33's, Nitto A/T Terra Grappler G2's in the front (70% left), Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx's in the rear (60% left). It is equipped with the 24-valve Cummins engine, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. A unicorn of a work truck, the last of a dying breed.Yes you heard correctly, a manual transmission. No more worrying about multiple transmission rebuilds with this truck. The only time these transmissions need an overhaul is after years and years of heavy towing and hauling. With proper maintenance, the transmission will last you the life of the truck.By way of upgrades, the truck is equipped with an Edge EZ tuner with 3 power modes, for up to an additional 65hp, with a Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite turbo boost gauge and pyrometer installed on the driver side pillar. Engine mods include an ATS intercooler, a K&N cold air intake, and new exhaust. Also included is a truck bed mat to protect whatever you may decide to throw in there, with Rhino liner underneath, Brake Force trailer brake controller, and an airbag system for towing and hauling heavy loads.Miscellaneous upgrades include remnants of a nicer stereo system from the previous owner, ie; a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X596 head unit with remote and Sony Xplod speakers in both front doors. I've installed brand new LED bulbs on both the interior and exterior of the truck. I've also added smoked AmeriLite headlights and taillights as well as a black OEM style front grille with a newer Dodge Ram emblem on the front.That being said, this is a fully functional 4x4 diesel truck with an 7/10 exterior, 7/10 interior. Original, not modified engine, recently serviced, smogged, clean title, current tags, and runs like a champ with no engine lights or error codes with upgrades geared towards comfort and city driving/commuting with the occasional hauling/towing.Now for the bad, let's be real, this is a 20 year old truck. It's going to have it's quirks and/or minor things that will need to be fixed. I've addressed most of the little stuff on the interior of the truck, replaced the pedals, replaced the dash, fixed the driver side window, repaired the upper console and respective map lights, and put a cover on the arm rest side of the jump so as not to burn my arm on a hot day.The only interior issue is that the front passenger seat does not currently recline. Engine-wise the A/C system just needs to be vacuumed and recharged. On the exterior, someone's tire blew out sending the rubber from the tire my way on the freeway awhile back. The same tire got caught under the truck, ricocheted off of the undercarriage and took out the rear passenger fender and mud flap. Lastly, the front end of the truck needs an alignment, new ball joints, and a new steering damper shock.Honestly, if it were up to me, there would be no way in hell that I would be parting with this truck. Financial circumstances are forcing me to sell it. This is a bad ass truck, with proper care and maintenance, this will be the last work truck you will ever have to buy. I will leave my asking price as-is but after I finish with all of these miscellaneous repairs my asking price will likely go up.
