Vehicle description
2001 Audi Quattro convertible roadster. 1.8L 225HP. This car is not running at this time. I love driving this car, I am not familiar with Audi"s and do not have the time or energy to do the repairs. I have way too many other projects to work on. I drove it to work in the morning. When I went to leave in the evening. It cranked over but would not start. It is not getting gas to the fuel rail. I did have it running spaying starting fluid in the air intake. (only once so I didn"t hurt the engine. It ran great for a few seconds until the pray was used up) I checked the fuel pump relay. It"s fine. I replaced the fuel filter. I think it must be the fuel pump. I am not an Audi expert so I am not sure The mileage is not accurate. Not sure what it is. The last owner guessed. Ok, for the rest of the car.
The bad: engine light is on. brake light just came on last time I pulled the parking brake. ABS light is on. One of the codes is for a rear wheel speed sensor. I have that but did not get to put it on. Another code is for the seat air bags. I have read it is usually the connector under the seat. Audi"s suggested fix is to cut out the connector and splice the wires. Seats are ripped. They will need to be reupholstered. Carpet is warn on the drivers side. Needs a new hood latch cable. Digital gauge on the dash needs to be replaced. You can read it but not all the lights are on. No spare tire. AC just stopped working. I never had the chance to look into it. Rear glass needs the belt replaced to move up and down. Glove box knob is broken but still opens. There may be a few more small things I missed. Normal wear and tear. Some faded paint. One small dent in the rear bumper shown in the photos. Most of these things are inexpensive fixes. Wanted to add. You can see in the photos that the fender and bumper were replaced. The previous owner hit a snow bank on the passenger side front. Fender is from another Audi. Bumper is aftermarket and needs to be lined up. grills are not original. I am listing everything I can think of. There may be other things I am missing but again, I am not an Audi person so I am not sure.
The good: Ran great until last week. Baseball stitching seats. Heated seats. (work) Convertible top works. HID headlights. Tires are less than a year old. Battery is less than a year old. Aftermarket radio. Just replaced both intercoolers. Quattro worked great last winter. Should still be in good working order.
This car is going to need work. I have seen these sell on here between $6,000 and $8,000 in good condition. If you just want to drive it, you should be able to get it going for much less. If you want to fix it up completely, you should still be able to do that for under these prices. You could even make a little money parting it out. If this doesn"t sell the first time around, I am going to try to fix some of the problems and relist it but it will be at a higher price. Again, I just don"t have the time to work on a car that I am unfamiliar with. I have tried to list everything as complete and honest as I can. I don"t like surprises when I buy cars. If you have any questions, I will do the best I can. I WILL NOT SHIP. PICK UP ONLY. DEPOSIT OF $100.00 DUE WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE END OF AUCTION. If you have less than 5 transactions on EBay, contact me first before bidding. Thanks for looking at my auction. Car is sold as is.
