2000 F450 4x4 w 7.3L diesel, 142K miles – RARE FIND -$24,900 This truck (1FDXW47F6YEA28748) was sold as a cab overchassis and converted to a dually pickup by 3W truck and equipment co inCalifornia. The truck spent most of it’stime in the southwest and a short few months in Wisconsin before I bought it in2011 when I lived in Georgia. I sincemoved to Iowa. I used the truck to make onetrip back and forth to Florida hauling my boat (only a few thousand miles ayear), no winter driving, very little rust if any. Oil change and transmission service everyyear. The following are useful points: 1) Just after I purchased the truck, the Engine wasreplaced with fresh (cream puff) out of F250 farm truck installed by Lead footDiesel in Georgia. Replacement engine had84K miles on it, used as a daily driver farm truck for all its previous life 2) Trans was bullet proofed by 3W with specialconverter and clutches. Never had oneissue with trans which is normally the achilleas heal of these trucks 3) 4-inch exhaust, wicked weasel turbo wheel, largecapacity air filter 4) Uses about a ½ quart of oil in 1500 miles undera heavy pull, hot conditions 5) Truck weight 9800lbs with Dana 60 front and Dana80 rear axle w 4.88 gears. 6) DP-Tuner with tow tune, works great with remotemonitor.
