Vehicle description
Up for auction is my 2000 BMW 328ci coupe. This has been my daily driver commuter car for the past 2.5 years and it’s never left me stranded. I’m only selling because I have a baby on the way and needed a car with 4 doors.
This is a reliable car but it is older and will need some work soon. I have always kept up with the maintenance and replaced anything it ever needed because I relied on the car to get me to and from work every day.
Over the past 2.5 years I have replaced the following: water pump, thermostat, serpentine belt, both lower control arms/ball joints, 2 brake calipers, and regular wear items such as brake pads and a new battery which I did last month.
The car has 185k+ miles on it and it’s starting to show signs of wear in the interior (torn leather, stained carpets, etc) and a couple minor rust spots (see pics of passenger rocker panel) but the drivetrain is strong and it has many miles left in it. Some of the problems and items that need attention are: rust starting in the passenger rocker, front seat leather torn badly, keyless entry not working, driver side tie rod end needs replacing, front grille clips are broken (zip ties holding it in, been fine for 2.5 years), random brake light on for short period of time (possible sticking caliper?), coolant overflow tank leaks (small leak, I’ve been checking it every morning and topping off before work. Tank should be replaced). Engine is strong, doesn’t burn any oil. Trans shifts great, no clunking or slipping.
Pretty much every feature the car has still works. I’ve cold AC, heated seats, sunroof, power windows, power seats, HID headlights, fog lights. All works like new. No check engine light now or ever since I’ve owned it. 17” wheels that were plastidipped, some flaking but overall still looks decent. Tires are a little under 1/2 tread. Body is pretty straight for an older car and the factory paint shines nicely. A few minor scratches and dings but pretty good for its age.
Like I said, this has been a very reliable commuter car. Keep in mind it is 20 years old and has 185k miles on it. It will probably need a couple things done to pass inspection (tie rod end & coolant tank) but it is cheap, reliable transportation
Clean title in hand. No reserve auction. I encourage people to contact me with any questions and welcome anyone to come look before bidding. Please do not bid if you do not intend on paying! Car must be picked up within 30 days of auction ending. A $500 PayPal deposit is required within 48 hours of auction ending. Final payment due at time of pick up with cash or 1 week prior to pick up with bank check.
