This Civic was originally owned by my friend who was a certified Honda tech. The engine and trans are out of his girlfriends 99’ that she totaled with 54K on it. He purchased this car out of Georgia and did the engine trans swap. Timing belt, water pump, tensioner, plugs, wires and trans service were all done at the swap. This engine now has 88K on it. The body 246K. He drove it for five years before selling it to me. I’ve owned it for about four years now and have been using it as a work car when I go out of town. Just this past fall I’ve put another $1,500 in it with new struts, springs, wheels, tires, radiator & fan, new headlights with led bulbs and window regulator. The body is solid for the mileage but isn’t perfect. There is a small rust spot on the Rt rear fender and the front end has the clear pealing. It’s never been smoked in, the sunroof works and doesn’t leak, the gas tank is in good shape and does not leak. Mechanically its very sound and it still looks good; I’d drive it anywhere. The wife purchased a SUV and I’m taking her 4 door. Getting kids in and out of a Civic coupe is getting old! This would be a perfect school or work car that isn"t going to require a ton of maintenance.
