About this vehicle This 1999 HARLEY-DAVIDSON XL883 is a restored vehicle with updates to the exterior, interior and drivetrain. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes This is an amazingly awesome bike! Vehicle Details Up for sale is my 1999 Harley Davidson Sportster 883 Custom. I purchased this bike as a partial basket case. I went through the entire bike and rebuilt everything right down to an entire custom wiring harness that uses a marine grade fuse panel (see pics). All wires ends utilized heat shrink connections covered in high end a high end wire loom. Top end is redone, rebuilt the carburetor, swapped out the valve covers for 2006 valve covers for a better look and you can eliminate the middle rocker box. Custom cam gear cover. Custom sprocket cover. Used a 30psi tractor oil pressure gauge (for easy reading while riding) and plumbed it into the oil filter housing. Dynatek 2000i dual fire ignition. Biltwell metal throttle. 21” front wheel. Shaved front legs. Brand new rear brakes. An awesome Sully’s custom seat which is where I also mounted the custom LED taillight. Used repopped Harley ironhead decals from the 70’s on the tank and rear fender. Going for that west coast, lane splitter style chopper. Keep in mind, this bike does not have a front brake, turn signals or a horn. This bikes runs and sounds amazing! Very fun to ride. I’ve broken her in and re torqued everything. Only trades I would consider would be for 1969-1979 Ford F series pickups (f100,f150,f250). Willing to travel a few hours distance for the right deal. I’m in the Metro Detroit area.
