Vehicle description
1999 Ford F150 4-door pickup truck with extended cab, 8-foot bed and two telescoping tailgate ramps, one installed on the tailgate and another one that can be used for parts. It has AM/FM radio (no CD), front and passenger airbags, cruise control, working heat and air conditioning and a V8 engine. This truck is highly functional especially for the dirt bike or ATV enthusiast as the telescoping tailgate ramp allows for easy and safe loading and unloading. My dad used this truck to load his dirt bike up to the age of 73. The 8-foot bed has a liner and two front wheel motorcycle chocks which hold a dirt bike in place nicely with straps (straps not included). The telescoping tailgate ramp comes with table legs so that it can be used as a table as well. I bought this truck brand new in 1999 and gave it to my dad in 2004 when I bought my next F150, so I am the original owner and it has always been in my family. The truck was well maintained as evidenced by the Carfax report (available on request) that shows a detailed history of the work that was done on the truck over the years. The truck was in two minor accidents which were low impact while I was stopped at a light and rear ended causing only minor damage to the rear bumper, which is still a little bent. There has never been any structural damage. The exterior is scratched and has dents in it. There is spray paint in many spots over scratches to keep it from rusting. Other than being a little dirty, the interior is in good shape considering the truck is 18 years old. There are no rips in the seat fabric. Smoking was never allowed inside the truck. With only 128,387 miles on it, the truck has not had a lot of wear and tear on it averaging just over 7,000 miles per year, most of which were highway miles when I used to take it from NJ to VT to go snowboarding on weekends. For the last decade, my dad only used it to transport his dirt bike to his favorite riding spot as he had a car as well. While the truck is not real pretty, I feel it has a lot of life left in it. When Ford says built tough, they are not kidding. I still have my 2004 F150 and plan to keep it a long time. Since my dad’s health no longer allows him to ride his dirt bike, we no longer have use for this truck.
