First let me say, this vehicle is located in a storage facility in Buckeye, AZ. Ideally, only someone living in the Phoenix, AZ area should make this purchase. This 1999 Cadillac DeVille has a blown head gasket. The factory head bolts were too short and they stretched, causing the gasket to fail. If you are a mechanic, you can repair this by drilling the holes and replacing the bolts with studs, costing about $600 in parts. If not the repair can cost as much as $1,500. The parts and tools for this can be found on the internet at Northstar Performance. The car has been in storage for almost five years so, before you start it, you should drain and replace the gasoline so it won"t cause damage to the valves. Flush and refill the radiator. The blown gasket let oil into the water jacket. I know you might be saying, wait a minute! Isn"t that engine ruined? That would possibly be the case if it were the other way around, with water in the oil. I checked it. The oil is not contaminated. It"s good to go. Once the repairs are complete, you can attach a personal worth of a little over $5,000 to it. I have the title and one set of keys here in North Carolina and another set of keys at facility where it"s stored. Upon completion of the sale, I will notarize and sign the title and send it to the storage facility. I will ask the person working there to assist me in making the transaction go smoothly.
