Hello, ebay. I"m selling this car for a family member who doesn"t do ebay. He can telecommutes to work now, so he doesn"t need a car anymore, so why pay for gas, insurance, etc. anymore?
This car is a 98 with a little over 200k miles, so be realistic. It would be best as a simple, economical point A to point B car. Cheap transportation.
The good: It runs and drives pretty decent for its age! There is no check engine light on, and engine sounds strong and idles good. My cousin recently had replaced: the r/f driveaxle, the r/f strut, an inner and outer tie rod, both ball joints, oil pressure sensor, front wipers, and a BRAND NEW battery! Also, a fresh oil and filter change less than ten miles ago! The front tires have decent tread on them, more than half I would say. The heat works good. Also, the interior is in pretty decent shape for the age of the car. I"ve seen many that are really torn up!
The bad: This has some of the usual rust that older subarus are known for. You can see it in the pictures. The rear tires are low on tread. They"re perfectly fine to drive the car home on, but if your state has inspections, they may or may not pass. The exhaust has a slight leak. I think it"s between the midpipe and the down pipe? It"s probably NOT a serious leak, like say from a manifold, for example. The rear door speaker covers are broken off (it"s in the pictures). The a/c does not blow cold. Lastly, the radio seems to only make sound out of the drivers side speaker. I don"t know why. Maybe the previous owner fooled around with the speaker wires?
There"s no need to keep taking up space with it, so it"s priced to sell! In other words, NO RESERVE! But that also means, you bid it, you buy it! If you win the auction, please don"t think you should come here and THEN decide whether to buy it. Non paying bidders will be reported and forfeit deposit.
