Vehicle description
If you"re looking for a real nice older diesel truck and you"re tired of looking at rusty junk, this is the one you"ve been waiting for. I bought this truck almost 6 years ago. It has been completely trouble free in the 30,000 miles I have driven it. I have changed oil, filters, put new tires on it & a new windshield. That"s it. It is completely stock. The fuel pump has not even been turned up. It was repainted sometime before I bought it. Apparently not because of rust or it would have come back through by now I suspect it was because of the clearcoat peeling. It has the usual dings & chips in the paint & the bed is scraped up. It was used as a truck so don"t expect to see a show vehicle. The underside of this truck is absolutely amazing. There is no bad rust anywhere, except strangely - the trailer hitch. The bed support rails have no rust. The bumpers have no rust. I have not repainted it & covered up anything. You just don"t see trucks like this here in Pa. So here is what"s wrong with it. The cruise control doesn"t work. Never did. I never bothered to try to fix it. The power seat doesn"t want to raise very well. The other directions all work fine. The Pass. side power door lock doesn"t want to lock. I just reach over & push it down. The dash is cracked really bad. Mostly because when I had the windshield replaced, the guy that did it somehow broke the dash. And sometimes the transmission doesn"t want to make that 1-2 shift first thing in the morning. Its been that way the entire time I"ve owned it. Never really been enough of a problem for me to check it out. I lift the gas pedal for a second and it shifts. Only does this the first shift of the day, and only the 1-2 shift. Never happens again until it sits awhile. So why am I selling it? I bought it to drive to work & pull a small 5th wheel camper to the local racetracks. I drove it to work for a year & decided it was stupid to drive such a nice diesel truck 1 mile to work. Especially when there was salt on the roads. I bought a $ 2000.00 truck to drive to work. Pulling the 5th wheel & loading up a generator, etc got old in a hurry & shortly gave way to a motorhome. The way to go for me. I now only use it for trips. I drove it to Indy and Charlotte and averaged around 20 mpg. I"m not a car collector so I don"t need such a large and expensive ornament sitting in my garage. If I sell it I will have an excuse to drive my wife"s new car. This truck is for sale locally so this listing could end at any time.
