Vehicle description
Have you noticed that there are no cars made with women in mind?
If you take a look at cars around, its all dark, boring and well "guy"ish". Even the bright colors have a underlying black that darkens the color of the car. The inside is even worse! blacks, greys, tans, browns. If you manage to find white its very expensive and even with white you have to worry about keeping it clean. As a woman I thought about how nothing really looked pretty when looking at cars to buy. Well I have decided to change this.
This dodge neon has had a complete make over. The outside color is bright pink with two types of sparkles "metal flakes" ( one is a micro silver and the other is a standard holographic rainbow). The door jams, under the hood and under the trunk have been painted as well to look more professional also just making her look prettier. The rims have been lightly sparkled to match the rest of the exterior.
The inside has most of the interior panels painted bright pink but I left some grey to balance everything out. The inside panels do not have sparkles since that would clash with the crystals I added to make it really pop. Mostly using the crystals to add extra beauty inside (without creating a glitter hazard haha) as well as emphasizing wonderful lines inside as you can see in the pictures. Of course I also had to add a chandelier!
I have looked over the car top to bottom. When I took out the panels for the inside to paint I took everything out and cleaned it, down to the carpet and headliner before putting everything back together. The headliner was a cheap version that had a thin cloth that was falling and torn so I removed it so you dont have to worry about it again. The headliner itself is in good condition and I made it match the interior. I checked the fluids, brakes, hoses, belts. Replaced what needed replacing. Tires are good. Air conditioning and heater work great. I replaced the stereo with an cd player that has an aux plug and an usb plug. I also added interior LED lights that you can change the colors via an phone app, I believe there are 48 color options. (I liked how the blue complemented the pink and grey) I spent a lot of time and alot of love went into this little dodge neon. :)
Now I know some are wondering why I chose a 98 dodge neon. Simple really, it can be easily fixed at home so you don"t need a mechanic just to change a filter, parts can be easily found and not cost an arm for, It has just enough computers that make sense to have but it has not become like new cars that everything is hooked to a expensive computer ($1,000 for a key seems wrong to me) A 98 is less tech, less trouble and reliable and very easy to go to a auto parts store for them to use a machine for free to tell you what"s wrong if something seems off. A 98 or car around that time can actually be worked on at home with little trouble. Youtube is a wonderful thing. I really want to encourage women to start trying to fix and care for there own cars. It really is no where near as difficult as everyone makes it out to be! Besides wouldn"t it be great to not have to worry about mechanics overcharging just because they assume they can.
This 98 dodge neon will make a wonderful xmas gift!
