Vehicle description
I am parting with my 1998 740IL Siver / Tinted Windows (Dark )
- Black Interior.
- It has high miles. I am a salesman. Put 40,000 miles a year. Highway miles. Drive this car every day. Battery is about a year old.
Title was a rebuilt about 4 years ago. Hit in the front. Bumper hood.
I have taken care of this car and been driving it everyday for my sales job. I do a lot of the work / maintnenace myself and what I cannot do Mike Johns BMW has done the rest.
- Use Full Synthetic Oil for oil changes.
- Recently had the Valley Pan Gasket"s changed.
- Recently had the Intake Manifold & Valve Cover Gasket"s Changed.
- Fairly New Tires
- Suspension ( Front ) has had a major overhaul
- Front Brake pads, Rotors, changed ( Mike Johns) - Getting a little 45 mph shimmy - think it might be a sticky caliper.
I have purchased two of the rear upper control arms ( old ones squeaking ). Just have not had time to replace.
Have had some of the wheel bearings replaced. Would have to have a report pulled to remember.
A couple of years ago. Trans went bad. Purchased a used one (80,000 miles ) out of a salvage yard, and Mike Johns installed it.
Car is high milage - 264,000 - If I did not tell you that when you drive it you could not tell it. I am upgrading. Recently have driven it to Atlanta, St. Louis, pittsburgh, Chicago, Indy. NO PROBLEM. .
Put a used power steerring on a few weeks ago and new lines. I am a car guy and try to maintain what I can in my busy schedule. What I have not had time for I can share with you what still needs to be done. I want a buyer who wants a good care and take care of. Not someone that wants to text me will you take some riduculous low price. Call or Text me for a chance to discuss.
AC is charged and good to go. Creates a little clicking noise at IDLE. Have no idea why. It has been doing it for years. Cools just fine. Once I press the Gas. It goes away. Not worth changing a compressor.
NOTE: It is salvage Title ( Repaired ) When I purchased from a friend. It was wrecked in the front: Bumper, hood. I fixed and rebuilt.
