About me. . I get vehicles in all the time. some are trades, some consignments, local sellers, auctions etc. I"m out to prove that you can be honest AND successful in this business. I have learned that people get rid of cars generally because of? Right, there"s a problem. .I know a LOT of flippers who get the car. do NOTHING to it except unplug the battery so the ck eng light doesn"t come on until after you buy it. They roll back miles, etc. I refuse to do that. There are a LOT of good vehicles out there and I think I can offer them at prices that are mutually beneficial to us. Here"s how this works. . I get the car, I drive it for a little while in order to ascertain why they sold it. I tell you everything I find. .I offer it to you the raw unedited condition that I get it in with FULL disclosure before I repair it. Once I repair it. the game changes. If you"re a mechanic or know someone who is, you can do good for yourself. . ok. with that being said. . here"s a:
1997 Nissan 200SX . I was a little nervous as I bought this without driving it. I couldn"t let it go. I got it and drove it. .Here"s what I found:
The good: This car needed a new tire on the right rear, the rest were good. I got in it, and stabbed it and this car is fast. No hesitation, no coughing, it gets up. I LOVE HOW THIS CAR DRIVES. It is Kevin approved. Sunroof works great, mirrors good, windows up and down fast, heat works, 23 degrees this morning, started right up. It glides down the road. Steering wheel doesn"t shake at 60mph + Interior is clean, no evidence of smoker, Title is clean, No check eng. lights. see pic. as car is running the two red lights in the pic are the door and seat belt. pwr door locks good, Charging system works, no exhaust, gas, or antifreeze fumes, brakes are good, idles right, mirrors, kinda hard to check a/c in 23 degree weather. clean history. The miles on this car are pretty low for it"s age. 135k miles, Spare looks like it never saw the ground. This car is rare, probably the ONLY one on this and many other sites. I can deliver it for a fee as well otherwise you must arrange shipping.
The bad: The body is not Kevin approved. .it has rust in the normal places you would expect the pics show it pretty good. nothing that would be a deal killer tho. There is a pic of some rust in the right door jamb that I thought you may want to see. The interior could use a detailing.
Conclusion:
This car is for someone who needs inexpensive transportation or a dependable second car. The body isn"t great BUT it"s not bad. it"s tolerable. .Put some time into this body and you"ll have a very nice looking and running car. .as is right now. This car gets up and I"m very impressed with the acceleration of this 1.6. Should be very economical for you without sacrificing performance. It"s a nice economical but RARE car. Those older motors just don"t break, unless you abuse em. Guaranteed, you"ll be the ONLY one with one of these. Looking for an inexpensive cool lookin signature. possibly sleeper car? Here it is.
