Offered here is a one of a kind, complete frame off restoration of an NAS 1997 Defender 90. If you’re reading this listing, you understand the pedigree the ’97 NAS brings to the table. What’s more is that while NAS started its life as a 90 in Alpine white that was not properly cared, we rebuilt it into a beautiful Arles blue soft top, a truck that Land Rover NEVER built! There were Arles blue hard tops but never a soft top! So, this truck is quite literally 1 of 1. The original truck was acquired from the Northeast where the elements took their toll on it. Doors were rusted, frame a disaster (rusted and cracked), foot wells basically non-existent, brakes barely there etc etc etc. The list goes on and on. Most parts all are all new. Some components such as the center console, shifter, seats (previous owner had seat covers on them), some body panels / tub as well as some dash components were in very good condition. Everything else, including the AC and cage, was replaced with brand new components. All parts for the build came new from Rovers North including the galvanized frame and new bulkhead which we then had galvanized at a local shop. The truck was completely disassembled and brought to the paint shop and completed in a vibrant Arles blue, arguably the best color on a Defender out there. All the components under the truck are new….complete brake system, suspension, fuel tank / with metal lines, bushings, control arms etc. All components under the hood have either been replaced new or refurbished to like new condition. Completely rebuilt motor was taken apart and rebuilt with new gaskets, seals and all the other necessary components to have it run like new. She starts and sounds perfect. Shifts thru all the gears and will cruise at highway speeds without issue. Truck rides on stock wheels and brand new tires. New Exmoor fitted top looks incredibly sharp and plastic windows are all perfect. Interior is stunning as well. Seats, as mentioned, are in like new condition including the four inward facing jump seats. All new fitted front mat and rear rubber mat are brand new as well. Dash gauges are original to the truck with the odometer reading 154,xxx but this truck drives and performs like new.
