Vehicle description
1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8 4x4 In Good Condition
I purchased this Jeep in 2011 and I am the second owner, needed a lower car for my wife and mother in law so I purchased a Sedan and I am selling this one.
Engine is very smooth. I only use Castrol Edge full synthetic oil since I purchased it. I recently tested compression and all cylinders are even. The transmission shifts perfectly and smoothly.
Consider that this is a 20 year old car. Mechanically and Cosmetically is in pretty good shape, but it had several items that you may want to take care of. None of them affect the driving of the vehicle and as a matter of fact I use it every day.
The good: This year I changed battery, water pump, all aluminum two row radiator and all hoses and thermostat. Replaced power steering pump and have a new steering gear box that I may or may not install before auction ends. (If not installed I will include it in the sale) I totally redid the Air Conditioner system. All new including hoses, compressor, evaporator, condenser. The car has the Towing Package from factory and has the hookup for the trailer lights built in. The leather is in fairly good condition with only a minor rip on the side of the driver"s side seat.
The bad: The worst of all is the damage in the front passenger side corner. The hood opens and closes with no issues but the damage makes the car look bad. The paint is starting to fade on the plastic of the bumpers and in some parts of the roof. No rust whatsoever. The glove compartment door is missing. The passenger front side window does not work. I removed the front traction shaft because it was acting up and never replaced it, so the car is working on two wheel drive. I like it better because it saves gas and is a lot more responsive. The front cabin lights do not work. The front tires will have to be replaced soon The leather on the steering wheel in beginning to get loose so I put a steering wheel cover. The cloth of the headliner was getting loose so I removed it.
I will add to this description if I remember anything else.
Overall the car is good. It will provide service for many more years. It is certainly in much better mechanical shape than most of what you can find in the market. This one has been a city car and has not been abused.
Sale of this car is final, no returns. Please take a good look at the pictures and ask any questions before bidding. A deposit of $500.00 is required within 48 hours of end of the auction. Deposit will be refunded if when you come to pick up the car you decide not to buy it. If you get the car shipped no returns of any payments will be done.
Local pick up only. If you want the car shipped you will have to make arrangements with a trucking company. I can deliver the car anywhere within Miami, Dade or Broward Counties.
Car is listed locally so if there are no bids I may cancel this auction early.
