1997 F250 XLT Super Duty / Heavy Duty with the legendary 7.3 motor and long 8 ft bed. Motor is strong. It runs and pulls like crazy. Only mods on the truck at a straight pipe 4" exhaust dumping in front of the rear axle, crank case breather, and an intake. This truck sounds amazing. . There will never be another motor like the 7.3.
Lots of maintenance done on this truck in the last 6 months thinking I would keep this forever, but with a family on the way, I need something more practical.
Recently passed inspection. All fluids changed. Lots of new parts.
The truck doesn"t leak or burn oil. Transmission is strong. My diesel mechanic always remarks how strong the motor is.
Truck is in great condition for its age. Front bumper should be replaced ($200 part). Rear wheel wells have some rust as usual. Clearcoat on the top of the truck is coming off in spots. . it can probably be sprayed with something. Tailgate is beat up - but its cosmetic and works great. Cab and bed mounts are clean. Everything else works (power windows, power mirrors, cruise control, AC blows cold, block heater, 4x4, etc.). Clean Carfax, Clean title. . No accidents.
I still have the factory intake which the previous owner gave to me.
