I have a love affair with this Cruiser. Originally built in Arizona, this 80 series has called Montana home for the last few years. The rust free body turns heads and the clean undercarriage show very little wear and no signs of abuse. A 4" inch lift on OME HD Coil Springs, nitrocharger sport shocks, and steering damper frees up 33.5" BF Goodrich tires. 4x4 Labs built the rear bumper which carries an extra wheel and hi-lift jack and is ready for add on components as you see fit. SLEE built the front bumper which houses a 9000 XD Warn Winch and aftermarket lighting. This vehicle is full time four wheel drive, has a center locking dif, and a new longfield-30-spline-gun-drilled-super-set front axle. It does not have the factory front lockers and hasn"t been driven in any place they would be required. This Cruiser is a very capable off road vehicle, however it has never been used as a rock crawler.
The exterior paint is in great condition for a used vehicle of any age. There are a few beauty marks here and there, and the paint on one of the plastic wheel arches is beginning to bubble just a touch. The black paint on the grill is peeling - I haven"t had a chance to repaint that yet. I think an 8 out of 10 rating for the paint is a conservative number. The roof has been Rhino Lined so that equipment can be hauled up there with no issues. There is not a rack that will come with the vehicle but it"s ready when you are.
The engine and transmission are strong and the new exhaust roars a wonderful growl on startup. A few years back in Arizona the engine had the full treatment: the head gasket, injectors, valves, manifolds, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, seals, hoses, radiator, etc. All the preventative maintenance one would commonly do on the 80 series at that time. This vehicle"s previous owners were very type A and their records are extensive and available. I have kept the vehicle maintained according to the schedule.
Inside is clean! The front seats have been re-bolstered and the leather has been replaced with a new leather kit. Seat heaters have been installed in the front seats but I haven"t gotten them wired in yet. The rear seats have not yet had their leather replaced yet as they are still nice and I have little kids with car seats and toys. The wiring for the seat heaters and leather for the rear bench will be provided. There is a great Kenwood stereo, Boston Acoustics speakers everywhere, and a Kicker Sub; best system I"ve ever heard. It"s not over the top as far as bass goes - just a real clean sound with the power available if you want to rock. There is a storage drawer in the back and a security system with remote start. The original rebuild took the interior down to metal and sound proofed and insulated the entire cabin. This is one clean 80 series!
