Vehicle description
selling my 1996 Porsche 911/993 C4S factory wide body naturally aspirated coupe, Guards red on black leather, comes with factory turbo twist wheels or 02 turbo style mesh wheels, fixed turbo tail. Original miles, porsche factory certified mechanic serviced, runs and drives excellent, engine very strong, transmission shifts flawless, leather very soft and in good condition, see write up below.
The Porsche 993 Carrera 4S is nearly identical to the 993 Turbo, cosmetically. They both received turbo wings and more aggressive styling. The core differentiators between the two models was that the C4S was equipped with a naturally aspirated, 3.6L, air-cooled, flat-six-cylinder engine which served as the base for the bi-turbocharged variant that the Turbos received. The C4S was also engineered with a four-wheel-drive chassis (hence the “4” in the model designation) while the 993 Turbos were also all wheel-drive. The C4 “S” variant also implemented a lower ride height and more robust suspension. These cars offer one of the last, most authentic, and refined air-cooled 911 driving experiences, the Porsche 911 model manufactured and sold between January 1994 and early 1998 (model years 1995-1998 in the United States), replacing the 964. Its discontinuation marked the end of air-cooled Porsches, with the 993 being the last air-cooled 911"s before Porsche entered the 911 water cooled era. Because of it"s uniqueness and rarity it is a great investment car with upside appreciation potential.
Specification
Powered by a 3.6L flat six engine, producing 282hp, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Outfitted with Vario-ram resonant induction, hot film air flow sensor, DME engine management system, dual exhaust system, limited slip differential, auto brake differential, all wheel drive, fully independent suspension, multi-link LSA rear suspension, front and rear stabilizer bars. Car was in an accident and repaired by the previous owner thus the California salvage title and priced accordingly, passed all California emissions and safety inspections, car being sold "AS IS", no trades please, will answer questions to the best of my ability in a timely fashion, can help coordinate shipping, thanks and good luck.
