Vehicle description
Baby on the way so it"s time to get something more practical. I had a lot of plans and ideas for this car, but priorities change.
Currently, I have the interior mostly stripped from the car. I kept the door cards, the dash, and the hatch in, but pretty much everything else is stripped. I do have everything that I pulled from the car with the exception of the carpet. I also have most of the original parts that I have replaced on the car.
The Good-
New Gates timing belt, OEM water pump, OEM oil pump, OEM timing belt tensioner and pulleys all about 30,000 miles ago.
Fidanza Lightweight Aluminum flywheel
Exedy Stage 0 clutch
New clutch master cylinder about 10,000 miles ago
Braided line from clutch master cylinder to slave. (Clutch block bypassed)
3SX braided brake lines with speed bleeders on the calipers
Motul 600 brake fluid
Power Stop drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic brake pads
No significant rust. The most significant rust on the car is just above the side skirt on the passenger side behind the door (pictured). Everything else is a few spots of surface rust.
The Bad-
Mismatched Paint
The typical 3S issues- The "click, click, start" happens on occasion, the door locks "machine gun", the transmission syncros have seen better days. The transmission doesn"t shift too hard, but it"s definitely not as smooth as you"d like.
The windshield is cracked. It"s on the passenger side and doesn"t obstruct the driver"s view at all, so I haven"t replaced it.
Parts I have-
Brand new Megan Racing Coilovers
A set of glass robo modded headlights off of a Stealth.
A glass moonroof to replace the steel. I thought it would be cool to have, as the powered glass roof is pretty rare. It took a couple of years for me to find one.
3SX single din radio mount
I think that"s all of the big things to know. If there"s something I"ve forgotten, or something you want to know more specifics about, just ask.
