Up for sale is a 1996 Lincoln Town Car. Picked it up it last year with my nephew as a fixer upper that we were going to work on together. We brought it home where it sat in my garage until recently when he said he no longer wants it as he got grandpa"s free car instead. The car is not perfect, but can be a good vehicle; I just don"t have the time to repair it. It has 148,220 miles on it. The issues I know of that were there when we got it are a rusted out brake line, a trans line leaking, crack in the windshield, the trunk pull down doesn"t work, door ajar light stays on, both outside mirrors with issues and the AC pulley is frozen (compressor itself is fine). Motor ran strong and the transmission shifted great the little distance we drove it. Air suspension bags hold air. Tires are fair. There are a couple holes in the headliner above the visor, as well as on the visors itself (which are hidden when the visors are up). The rest of the black interior is real nice, except for a small seam issue on the drivers seat. The car does appear to have been repainted, as there are some paint issues, most notably on the hood, roof, front bumper and trunk area. There are also some small creases on either side of the vehicle near the rocker area. Everything did work when we bought the vehicle (except for the AC which we couldn"t check, but there is Freon in the system) including the aftermarket sun roof. Currently the car will need a new battery and fresh gas as it will start but only run for a few seconds. Again the car does need work, but nothing major. The interior is in great shape which is why we bought it. Fix the mechanical issues and you have a great looking and running car. Car is located near Morris, IL.
