1996 Lincoln Continental with 79,843 miles. No Reserve Auction!
Dad bought this car used in sometime in 1997 or 1998 with very low miles. He and my Stepmother drove it until Dad passed in 2008. My Stepmother drove it until she passed just recently in November of 2017. It became part of the estate me and my Stepsister are responsible for clearing out.
I don"t know a great deal about this car, but I did wash it and drive it around a bit. It drives well, and all the electronics work as they should. The engine, transmission and driveline are strong and smooth. The paint is in good shape, but it does have some scratches, rub marks and chips here and there. The interior is in good shape as well, with some scuffs here and there. There is a small crack in the drivers door panel, and the carpet is pretty dirty. The air suspension pump runs longer than I think it should, and the is a message in the DIC that says "Check Ride Control". Tires are in great shape, with lots of tread. There is a big scratch on the outside drivers mirror, looks like Dad or Stepmom scraped it going into the garage at some point. It"s never been wrecked, and has no damage. This really is the big old Lincoln that a little old lady only drove occasionally, that"s why the miles are so low for the age.
That"s about all I can tell you about this car. There may be other issues that I don"t know about, but it"s not my car, and the folks are both gone so I can"t ask them. Please, please keep in mind I have tried to be as honest as I can about this car, and tell you everything I know about it, and list issues that I can obviously see and feel. If your win the auction, and find something else wrong, there is nothing I can do about it. It is 22 years old after all, and I don"t know if there may be hidden issues I am unaware of.
