1996 Jeep Cherokee SE This was bought by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol in 1996. It was a blue jeep. It was the very last year that the Highway patrol painted their stripes on the patrol vehicles. So the silver in the middle is what they painted when they bought it along with regular gloss black paint. I bought the jeep from surplus along with another one. The other is a 4 door in which i am going to keep for a while. This XJ has had many things done to it: NEW 630 XN2 Rough Country 3" lift which consists of new front sway bar drop brackets, front springs, 4 new shocks on all four corners, FULL set of rear leaf springs. NEW Front bump stops NEW Rear bump stops NEW Front sway bar bushings NEW Sway bar end links NEW Front rotors, brake pads and calipers! NEW Rear brake drums. NEW Front tie rod and tie rod ends NEW Rough Country heavy duty adjustable track bar NEW Rough Country steering stabilizer NEW Headliner NEW Windshield NEW Air filter NEW Distributor cap and rotor NEW Spark Plugs NEW Alternator NEW Battery NEW Catalytic convertor and muffler in 2016 NEW Windshield wipers 5 NEW BF Goodrich 31x10.5x15 KO2 tires with Spare! 5 NEW Trail Master 15X8 wheels The carpet is original and in great shape. With only a small stain on drivers side. The seats are beautiful as well. The passengers side has a discoloration as well but not terrible. The jeep had one small hole in the floor board under the drivers side due to the hole in the roof not being plugged by the highway patrol when they sent it to surplus. There is NO RUST on this jeep. I had the whole repaired with a steel plate and welded in place as well as seam seal being used and undercoated. The hole in the roof from the bar light was also repaired and sealed. The outside of the jeep was sprayed with Raptor liner. This stuff is awesome. Check it out on youtube. This XJ does not have anti lock brakes. There is no rear wiper. It has manual locks and windows. As you can see the passengers side handle is missing on the inside. You can find one at a junk yard i am sure. There is a small crack in the dash board as well due to the heat from the radar unit as well as velcro from the same radar. The jeep was professionally aligned when i had tires put on. I chose not to do any extras to allow whoever got it to add their own personal touches. This is a rare 2 door model. I do have it for sale locally as of today 8/6/2017.
