1996 JAGUAR XJS CONVERTIBLE Celebration Edition If you are in the market for a XJS, the 1996 Model Year cars are the last year of production and most sought after due to their continued refinements over the previous models year. This Jaguar is finished in the traditional and much sought after color combination of British Racing Green with Barley, complemented with a matching Barley convertible top. It is also a Celebration Edition XJS. That edition was to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Jaguar Car Company & were the last XJS’s produced. It added the Diamond Turned wheels, Walnut and leather steering wheel, and the embossed leapers on the four seats headrests. The overall quality and presentation of the car, presents in many was as if it were new car, which understandable, having only traveled 45500 miles since first being delivered new to its first owner. The car has lived and been garaged in Florida since new. In my ownership, it has been garaged ,washed weekly, and waxed monthly. The engine in the car is a Jaguar AJ6, 4.0 litre 6-Cylinder, matted to a electronically controlled 4 speed ZF automatic transmission. The services are current, and I have strive to maintained to a very high standard. The car runs and drives wonderfully. The ride is smooth and supple. There has been a new correct set of Pirelli P4 tires have been installed within the last thousand or so miles. The paint finish is very good with a high luster. There are very minor imperfection from age and use. The interior is completely original and untouched. The leather in this car has never been re-dyed, and is free of any issues. The Walnut veneers in the car are clear and free of any major blemishes. The interior still retains the smell of the Connolly leather yet. The convertible top is original, with no issues inside or out. It operates seamlessly and is very easy to use. The original convertible top “boot” cover and storage bag are with the car, the owner’s manual, factory CD Changer, and the original keys and remote. The car is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It is available to view by appointment only. If you wish to have a Pre-purchase Inspection, they are welcome, but MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE THE END OF THE AUCTION and at the potential buyer’s expense.
